Public Health Dentistry is one of the important branches in dentistry, which is concerned with prevention and control of dental diseases and promoting dental care through organised community efforts.
The mainstay of the department is prevention of oral diseases by creating awareness among masses through health education programmes. The department is actively involved in rendering dental treatment, by our well equipped mobile dental clinic, to the masses of rural area. This is achieved by conducting dental treatment camps in rural areas providing basic dental treatment. The department collaborates with volunteer organizations and Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) in various community activities.
Other activities include research work and celebrating various days and other events.
